Before you make any reservation with us, make sure you reach out to Elana at our admin office so that she can assess what your hunting needs are. You will complete a questionnaire and send it back to her to put together your trip of a lifetime.
Once your hunting dates are confirmed, you will be required to make a minimum deposit of US$2500 within two months to secure your booking.
Sign the hunting agreement with terms and conditions and send that back to us with a copy of your passport – your flight itinerary for all flights (connecting flights included).
On arrival, transfers to and from O.R. Tambo International Airport will be arranged by us, as well as additional accommodation at a guest house if needed.
Any additional activities before, during or after your stay with us can be arranged. Please contact our admin office to arrange.
* For American based clients, we recommend Esplanade Travels for flight bookings and can put you in touch with them if you need a travel agent. Should your flight arrive late evening, we can arrange a night’s stay at African Sky Guest House – our recommended guesthouse – and our driver will collect you from there in the morning to begin your safari experience.
DAILY RATES INCLUDE
- Services of an experience hunting team; professional hunter with trackers, skinners and a hunting vehicle.
- Accommodation, meals, beverages (limited to specific locally available brands), laundry service
- Field preparation of hunter trophies
- Transportation of trophies to a local taxidermist or Dip and Pack company.
DAILY RATES EXCLUDES
- Transfers to and from OR Tambo International Airport – roundtrip
- Hotel charges before and after the contracted Safari period – if necessary
- Hunting equipment (check pricelist for hiring rates)
- Trophy fees for game taken or wounded. (15% VAT is charged
on all animals not exported, wounded, or lost)
- CITES license or permit fees for certain trophies
- Taxidermy fees, packing, dipping, and shipping to the final destination
- Gratuities for camp personnel, PHs and guides
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
A hunting client is any person that harvests two or more animals. Any client that harvests a single animal is considered a non-hunting guest. However, this does not apply to Dangerous Game. All clients and observers are required to sign a Rooibosbult Safaris agreement before commencement of the safari; this will be attached to the client’s hunting agreement. Regardless of the length of your stay, no hunting will be done by any client on the day of their arrival or departure on the safari.
A non-negotiable deposit of US$2500 is required to secure your hunting dates. Such deposit will be accepted in part payment of the total costs to be incurred by the hunter. A receipt of payment and confirmation of safari dates will be confirmed by e-mail.
The deposit will not be refunded in the case where a hunt is cancelled within six (6) months of the confirmed hunting dates booking. Should you wish to cancel your hunt more than six (6) months before your hunting dates, your full deposit can be re-funded, or provision can be made to re-schedule your hunt to a later date
The balance of the cost of the safari can be paid by the client one month before the arrival date of the client in South Africa. Should you then have any credit left, we will wire this back to you after completion of the hunt.
Alternatively, the full balance is payable at the conclusion of the safari (before departure) in either cash or credit card.
Prices are revised annually, so the client is liable to pay rates and trophy fees for the year the hunt takes place. Prices are also subject to change without prior notice due to currency fluctuations.
Payment is accepted in US Dollar or South African Rands. We unfortunately do not accept the following payment options:

- Personal cheques
- Debit cards Pop money
- Delta Cards
For your convenience, we accept:
- Master Card
- American Express
Please note there is a 3% service fee that will be added to any Visa, Master Card and American Express card payments. Please make prior arrangements with your credit card company/bank regarding payments to Rooibosbult Safaris. This must be done before your safari. Failure to do so may result in your bank declining the transaction.
Any cancellation made by the hunter must be in writing. Such cancellation notice should be sent to Rooibosbult Safaris by way of e-mail to the following e-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org
The client will be charged trophy fees for any animal where there is any evidence of a hit, whether it being behaviour, blood, fluids, flesh, bone, or skin.
Species of animals hunted or wounded (found/lost), not included in the client’s package will be paid for on date of departure.
The client is subject to pay 15% Value Added Tax for animals wounded and not recovered.
Rooibosbult will not accept the use of combined donations with any other Safari donation.
All donations are only valid for 24 months. (Unless stipulated otherwise)
Once a package is selected, no exchanges of animals will be allowed. However, animals can be added off the pricelist if the hunter should so choose.
Only one donation will be accepted for each package and no multiple donations will be allowed.
Rooibosbult Safaris cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage, illness, injury, or death that may occur during, or on safari. The client should arrange their own accident or travel insurance. Any extra expense incurred as a result shall be responsibility of the client.
Rooibosbult will require the client and all observers to sign an indemnity which will form part of the agreement before the commencement of the safari.
