Africa is a great attraction for the keen hunter or the observer, photographer, shopaholic, tourist, animal lover, cyclist, backpacker, adrenaline junky or bird watcher. We can couple your hunt with any additional tours or activities to enhance your overall experience in the area.

Rooibosbult Safaris offers one well-appointed and spacious lodge and four chalets which are sufficiently separated from one another to guarantee both privacy, peace and tranquillity. All the rooms are en-suite with clean linen and towels. There is plenty of communal areas to spend time in the morning and evenings to enjoy meals with fellow patrons both inside and outside.

We recommend that you buy “The perfect shot: Mini Edition for Africa” by Kevin Robertson, Safari press. Available from Cabelas /Outdoorwarehouse /Sportmans Warehouse / Bass Pro Shop or online. Other than the North American animals, African animals must be shot up the front leg on the shoulder on a broadside shot. When quartering away, aim for the opposite front leg. Your Professional Hunter will discuss this with you on the field before hunting starts and guide you as you aim for the different trophy animals.

From experience, blinds are the best hunting option and offer the best rate of success for any hunter. The PH will always try to guide you so that your shot distances are less than 20 yards.

We have a mandatory deposit US$2500 to confirm your booking and a list of attractive packages to choose from for your hunt. Pricing is set annually but also subject to change, so we prefer that you contact us directly to get pricing directly from us via email.

If you are from the United States, you only need a valid passport. If you are coming from Mexico, you will need a Visa. Unaccompanied passengers under the age of 18 require an Unabridged Birth Certificate in addition to the other required documents. No inoculations are necessary although Malaria prophylactics are recommended when hunting certain species or visiting the Kruger Park. Speak to your doctor about your trip itinerary and what they would recommend. We strongly advise that you bring a small medicine kit with personal/general medicines. We do have a first aid box in camp as well and are in driving distance of excellent private hospitals and doctors in town. Pre-arrange with your medical insurance to know what your coverage options are.

We will pick you up from the airport or guest house, depending on the time that your flight arrives. We prefer picking up the hunters before lunch as it gives them enough time in camp to pack out, settle in, go for a game drive and meet up with their guide on their arrival day. The next day is a hunting day. On arrival to take you to the hunting area and take you back to the airport at the end of your safari. You do not have to arrange any transport while you are hunting with us.

After the hunt, your trophies are sent to a local taxidermist or a dip and pack company.
